That's all folks! Promotion Day is Thursday, June 4th and the last day of Spicewood Elementary for our 5th grade students is Friday, June 5th.
Some reminders for Promotion Day:
- Students wear their lime green "15" t-shirts to school with shorts, skirts, pants or jeans.
- Parents are invited to come line the halls after drop off. The kids will do their famous walk around the halls at 7:45 am.
- The Promotion ceremony will take place in the Cafeteria from 8-9 am. All are welcome.
- A small reception for students and families will take place in the back of the school by the portable buildings, immediately following the Promotion ceremony. Light refreshments will be served.
- After school the students will be celebrated with a 5th grade pool party at Balcones Country Club from 3-6 pm. Students should wear a bathing suit and sunscreen, bring goggles if they like, and towels if they want to swim. There will also be games, music, snacks and dinner will be served.
- Lifeguards will be on duty. Parents do not need to attend the party, as chaperones will be present.
- Parents, please make transportation plans for your student both to the party at BCC and after the party at 6 pm.
Finally, we will not collect money for an end-of-year class gift, but I've attached Mrs. Moser's wish list below should you need any personal gift ideas. Per RRISD gift policy, $50 is the limit on personal (or group) gifts, including gift cards, and must be infrequent (twice a year).
